2008-2009 Officers

Congratulations to our new 2008-2009 Sr GOYA Council: Co-Presidents Andrew Kalina and Alexandra Richardson. Our Vice Presidents are Katherine Pappas, David Hastings, Gina Boosalis and Jack Wahlers.

Activity Possibilities

At our October meeting, Senior GOYA brainstormed a list of possible activities and service projects that we could do in the future. Here are some of our ideas:

• Paintball
• Laser Tag
• Food Drive for Trinity Mission
• Food Kitchen (Simpson House)
• Tutoring for younger children
• Families Moving Forward
• Raking
• Painting (houses or Sunday school rooms)
• Saints/Twins game
• Grand-Slam
• Car Wash Fundraiser
  
• Pizza party/movie night- lock-in

Currently we are exploring the option of going to Grand-Slam over winter break. If you have any ideas or suggestions we would love to here them. Contact Andrew Kalina at orthosox@yahoo.com if you have any questions.

For Parents Hosting GOYA

Thank you for opening your home to us! Here is what you should know if you are hosting a GOYA meeting:

• We will be meeting at your home on a Wednesday
• We expect between 12 and 18 Goyans to attend
• We don't expect our guests to pay for dinner
• The meal: Pizza and salad- there will be a sign up for cookies and beverages but feel free to prepare whatever! Depending on the size of the pizza and thickness of the crust we recommended 4 Goyans/pizza
• Please submit your receipts to Fr. Paul or Doria on the night of GOYA for reimbursement
  
• Please provide a basket for the buffet line for Free-Will offerings for the dinner ($3 suggested, the youth budget can help with the rest)
• Please feel free to join the meeting!

• All Goyans should assist with clean up
